Warhammer 40k Painting - Dark Eldar Warriors - Part 2

Hey Mates!

When we left off the models still had a lot of detail work ahead of them, but was near the end of this project.

The commission is now complete! Lets wrap this up mates!

Gun Scheme - Continued

Paints use on base

Citadel - Abbadon Black
Citadel- Waystone Green
Citadel - Caliban Green
Citadel - Moot Green
Army Painter - Gun Metal
Army Painter - Plate Metal
Citadel - Eshin Grey
Vallejo - Liquid Copper
Citadel - Agras Earth shade
Citadel -  Nulin oil
Citadel - Nulin oil Gloss

The colors on the gun blended very nicely, I had at first planned to do a airbrushed glow affect. The issue I ran into was the affect seemed to pull away from the model. Essentially the glow affect was stood out to much, and with these pieces we really wanted the left arm to be the eye candy.

I finally rested on a blended brush glow effect. The colors really pull together nicely and with a light nulin oil gloss over the blend it stands out shiner then the rest of the gun.

 Loin cloth Scheme

Paints use on base

Citadel - Tallan Sand
Citadel Ushabi Bone
Citadel - Rakash Flesh
Army Painter - Gun Metal
Army Painter - Plate metal
Citadel -  Agras Earth Shade

Going back the the loin cloth, my first plan was to do the spikes as pure bone. I ended up making them bone handled daggers. One each model the right tips of the loin cloth pins are done in silver metallic for the blade.

Pouches  Scheme

Paints use on base

Citadel - Steal legion
Citeadel - Baneblade brown
Citadel -  Agras Earth Shade

For the pouches on the back side I kept it simple, since they are a accent to the overall model.

Dagger  Scheme

Paints used

Army Painter - Gun Metal
Army Painter - Plate Metal
Citadel - Abbadon Black
Citadel -  Nulin oil
Citadel - Nulin oil Gloss

I used the above paints to compliment the existing base schemes on each squad (Purple, Blue and Grey) I had considered painting each dagger sheath in Balthazar gold, but I personally didn't like how the dagger look in a different color. I painted the hilts of the daggers and applied multiple shades to the sheath after some metallic work.

Face Paint and Knee pads Scheme

Paints used

Vallejo - Dark Red
Citadel - Korne Red
Army Painter - Gun Metal
Army Painter - Plate Metal
Citadel - Abbadon Black
Citadel -  Nulin oil

Some of the models have a red mark on there helmets, when the models where completed we noticed the base scheme look too dominant still. I colored some armor plating in Red or Silver to add further contrast.

Archon HQ

The Archon was a fun model to do it has a affects from all the other above paint schemes.

Hope you guys enjoy this update.
Good day matess!
